Research interests: Politics of Central Asia, Political Islam, comparative politics, Central Asian regime change, the effects of Information Communication Technology (ICT) on state and society

Eric McGlinchey received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2003.  Prior to joining George Mason University as an Assistant Professor of Politics and Government in August 2005, Dr. McGlinchey held positions as an Assistant Professor of Politics at Iowa State University (2003-05) and as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Central Asian Studies at Stanford University (2002-2003).  Dr. McGlinchey's areas of research include comparative politics, Central Asian regime change, political Islam, and the effects of Information Communication Technology (ICT) on state and society.
