Our speaker this year is Francois Rigolot, Meredith Howland Pyne Professor of French Literature and Professor of French and Italian at Princeton University. He lists his fields as "The Renaissance" and "Early Modern France." He is a leading specialist on Rabelais. The title of his lecture is "Interpreting Dreams in the Renaissance: Rabelais' Comic Version of OracularPower."
