Assessing the Reset: The First Year of Obama's Russia Policy

Samuel Charap, associate director for Russia and Eurasia and a member of the National Security and International Policy team at the Center for American Progress, will guest lecture on  "Assessing the Reset: The First Year of Obama's Russia Policy".

Dr. Charap received a Ph.D in political science and a MA in Russian and East European studies at the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshal Scholar. He was a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Moscow Center and the International Center for Policy Studies (Kyiv), and a Fulbright Scholar at the Moscow Institute of International Relations. His work has appeared in several journals and newspapers, including the Washington Quarterly, Current History, International Herald Tribune, and The Moscow Times. Dr. Charap's commentary on Russia has also been aired on NPR, BBC Television, and Reuters TV.
